Each year, I struggle with fighting the consumerism of the holidays and trying to find intentional ways to teach my children the real meaning of Easter. I wanted to share a list of some of my favorite things that we've found to include in our Easter baskets!
This is one of our family's favorite family Bibles. Sally Lloyd Jones does a beautiful job of pointing every story in the Bible back to Jesus and how the Bible is not a book of rules but a beautiful love story!
Owlegories is a precious animates series that teaches kids about nature and faith in God. Great family resource!
Our family has absolutely loved this CDs and it's been a great way for all of us to memorize verses. The songs are catchy and we all enjoy listening to these scripture CDs!
(Shameless plug for our family business). My hubby, Rick, handcrafts each of these wooden Surrender™ Crosses. The crosses come with removable nails, so you can physically nail your burdens to the cross. When your prayers are answered, you can take them off the cross and put them in a blessings jar!
My daughter got this sweet devotional years ago, and I love the concept of it. My kids are always asking me to color with them, and this book is perfect for that. When the pages open up, parents can color on one page (with an adult devotional) and kids can color on the other page (with a shorter verse or devotional).
Both of my girls have LOVED this coloring book. Each page has beautiful designs and an inspiring verse or piece of truth for your girls.
My son got this devotional and it is one of his favorites. Louie Giglio does a wonderful job of sharing the majesty of God and His beautiful creation. He gives amazing facts of science and weaves that with the truth of God.
This is a wonderful set of 25 virtue cards that highlight Scripture-based character qualities and have a coordinating Bible verse. You can pick a virtue a week or one a month to focus on, or also use this to help your kids memorize Scripture.
We love these ABC Scripture Cards! The cards are not only beautiful, but they are a great way to help your family memorize Bible verses. I love having Scripture all around my house!
These precious notes of encouragement include 5 verses + 1 heart keychain and were created to help encourage girls as they go throughout their days. My daughter loves keeping them on her backpack and they can also be used to share with friends!
Love these cute little bracelets with encouraging messages. These would also be great to put in Easter eggs! I always loved non-candy options for Easter eggs. :)
Love these shirts with messages of TRUTH! I love these reminders to be clothed with positive words to encourage others and ourselves!
(Another humble brag on our businesstry (business + ministry)) There are 31 prayers in each set, so you can pray one card each day or if there is an area on which you’d like to concentrate, you can remove the card from the ring and just focus on that one. We love reading these prayers on the way to school and before we go to bed.
Why not replace your kids' actual Easter basket with a RAD Square? You can fill it with goodies on Easter morning and then after that, they can use this box as a "quiet time" box. My kids keep their Bibles, devotionals, prayer cards, and a small Surrender™ Cross in theirs!
My daughter absolutely LOVES these. There are 4 Bible themed coloring pages and a refillable water pen. She can color (with water) and then once it dries, she can color it again!
These are great for young kids to foster creativity as they use stickers to recreate scenes from Bible stories, like Daniel and the Lion's Den, David and Goliath and Jonah. My daughter loves playing with these over and over again!
My eight year old daughter got this Bible and absolutely loves it. There are big margins and hundreds of inspiring verses on the sides of the pages for your daughters to color.
Each Easter, all of our kids look forward to opening their eggs and finding special coupons in them. You can create your own and write them on construction paper, or you are welcome to print a copy of ours!
